What this policy covers

This policy covers dryways.ca and the pages you are reading now. It is written by Dry-Ways Concrete Solutions, a distributor and installer of Danfoss electric heating based in Edmonton, Alberta.

It does not cover anything that happens away from this website — a site visit, a quotation you sign, or a job we carry out for you. It also does not cover other companies’ websites we link to, including the manufacturer’s.

The cookies this site uses

This website sets a small number of essential first-party cookies. They exist so the site works, not so anyone can follow you.

PHPSESSID
The standard session cookie. It lets the server keep one visit together while you move between pages.
breakdance_view_count, breakdance_session_count, breakdance_last_session_id
Set by Breakdance, the page builder this site is made with, to handle the session and display the pages correctly.

These are first-party cookies, set by this site alone. They are not read by any other company and they are not used to build a profile of you.

What is kept in your browser

Two small values are stored in the browser itself rather than sent anywhere.

dryways_cookie_notice_v1
Remembers that you dismissed the cookie notice, so it does not reappear on every page. It is saved only in your browser and is never sent to Dry-Ways.
wpEmojiSettingsSupports
A WordPress check of what your browser can display. It holds no information about you.

What this site does not do

On the pages published today there is no advertising cookie, no behavioural tracking, no third-party analytics, no advertising or social media pixel, and no tag manager.

An inspection of a clean public page load found no request to any third-party server at all. The typefaces are held on this site rather than loaded from a font service, so no outside company learns that you visited.

If that changes later — if analytics, advertising technology, an embedded third-party service or anything similar is added — this policy and the way consent is handled will be reviewed before the change goes live, not after.

The cookie notice

A short notice on the site describes the essential cookies above. It is information rather than a consent gate, because the cookies it describes are the ones needed to serve the pages.

You can dismiss it, and you can open it again at any time from the “Cookie notice” link at the bottom of any page.

If you would rather not keep the cookies above, your browser can block or clear cookies for this site. Parts of the site may then behave oddly, but nothing here requires you to accept anything to read it.

Information you send us

Nothing is collected from you simply for reading. There is no sign-up, no account, and no record of what you looked at.

If you email info@dryways.ca or call 780-953-9297, we receive whatever you choose to tell us — your name and contact details, and whatever you say about the job. We use it to answer you, and we do not sell, rent or trade it.

The quote form on this website is not connected for delivery at the moment, so anything typed into it is not sent to us and is not stored. Please email or call instead.

Email is not a secure channel. Please do not send us banking details or government identification.

Hosting and server logs

This website is hosted for us by a service provider, which keeps the ordinary server logs any web host keeps in order to run and secure the site.

Those logs exist as a function of hosting a website. They are not gathered to learn about you, and they are not combined with anything else to identify you.

Seeing it, correcting it, or having it deleted

You can ask us what personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct something that is wrong, and ask us to delete it. Email or call and tell us which of the three you want. We will not charge you for asking and we will not make you explain why. We may need to confirm who you are first, for the obvious reason.

These rights come from Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act and Alberta’s Personal Information Protection Act. Which applies depends on the information in question. If you are not satisfied with how we answer, you can complain to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner of Alberta, or to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Children

This is a website about heating cable for buildings. It is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from one. If you believe a child has sent us their details, tell us and we will remove them.

When this policy changes

We will change this page when what the site does changes, and the date at the top will move. We will not quietly broaden what we collect and leave the old wording standing.
